Conclusion
We proactively dropped the client to our lower-cost package (Essential Intelligence) to maintain a strong financial foundation without over-investing. The client will upgrade when the timing is better.
Lesson

Challenge
A client in the wearables sector grew using Xero (our core system with API connections to our own Google stack). They moved operations to the U.S. Their new U.S. accountants required QuickBooks, necessitating a major shift in our underlying system.
ConCLUSION
Rebuilding our proprietary systems and custom APIs to accommodate one client’s new software requirement would have compromised our core model. We respectfully declined to make an exception.

In 2018, a business owner presented a business model for a high-street noodle bar. We reviewed and challenged the numbers, identifying that the footfall required to break even was unattainable within the model’s limitations.
Recommendation
